Class OverviewWeek 1: Writing what are Bars? Parts of a song and song structure, Hook & Verses Rap styles, Rhyme schemes, speed and temple/ rhythm. Activity: writing a Verse & Hook. Week 2: Freestyling What it is, how to freestyle, Tips, benefits, how to do it well, writer's block. Activity: Freestyle! Week 3: Recording basics Set up, home studio vs studio time, home studio essentials, punch in's vs 1 take, Adlibs, Memorizing verses. Activity: finish song prepare for the studio session. Week 4: Project/ Feedback Put it together, record song, mini-video, Q&A, Performing, Feedback. Activity: record song, perform for video. Extra weeks: Week 5- Branding Week 6- Music Videos Week 7- Promotion/ Social Media Week 8-Budgeting/ Album Release |
